Have the child do this by measuring their wrist, since an adults is much larger then a child. The four pieces are tied at the top into a knot. Then you take a piece of tape and tape the knotted side to a table or your leg.
This just gives it a sturdy base to keep the floss from slipping around. Then you take the string from the left and cross it over to the closest string to the right. It will look like a number four.
The string then is pulled through and then tightened. Just repeat this action. Then you take the first floss back over to the right and repeat. This is continued until you make a row.
You just continue this until you are at the end of the floss. Then you tie off the end and tie the top to the bottom and there you will have a bracelet.
It might sound complicated but it really is an easy and fun project for any child that is around the age of six and above. They will have so much fun creating and making these wonderful bracelets that they can give as gifts to their friends.
